This 1940 collaboration between Edmund Dulac and John Erskine appeared in The American Weekly magazine. This is the only time Dulac illustrated King Arthur, but Erskine had several Arthurian books published previously. These illustrations have been restored, and Erskine's essay from 1928 is included and a further reading section, both decorated with other Golden Age illustrations.
