The theme of LACSC 2025, “The Frontiers of Statistical Computing and Data Science in the Artificial Intelligence Era,” emphasizes the convergence of rigorous statistical methodology and emerging computational innovations that are driving the current revolution in artificial intelligence (AI). This conference serves as a platform to explore how statistical computing supports the development, interpretation, and responsible deployment of AI systems — enabling data-driven decision-making in fields such as healthcare, finance, climate science, transportation, and autonomous technologies.
Our program will feature distinguished keynote speakers, thematic invited sessions, contributed presentations, hands-on tutorials, a Spring School for students and young researchers, and many opportunities for interactions that foster new collaborations. Beyond its scientific value, LACSC 2025 is also an invitation to experience Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage port city known for its colorful hills, rich history, and artistic spirit an inspiring backdrop for discussion, innovation, and connection.
